Open Zero Balance Savings Account with every Indian or Foreign Bank having branch in India
RBI under Basic Saving Bank Deposit Account scheme (BSBDA) said that this scheme is applicable for every Indian as well as Foreign Bank having branch in India.
Basic Saving Bank Deposit Account scheme (BSBDA) of RBI aims to decrease the financial dissimilarity in the society by helping poor and weaker section of the society by allowing them to open saving account with any bank and also enjoy free Debit Card Facility.
Various Services like deposit and withdrawal of cash, receipt/credit of money through electronic payment channels or deposit/collection of cheques at bank branches as well as ATM Cards are included under BSBDA Scheme free of charge.
A BSBDA holder is required to close other saving account with the same bank within 30 days from the date of opening saving account under BSBDA.
